In excel i used the SUMIF function but i cannot find that in infopath. What i
have is a repeating table hat has the a drop down box with options 1 through
4, and a credit and debit text box. What i need is a formula or something
that will sum everything for credit and say your total credits for option 1
is.. and so on. Is this possible in infopath. It was so simple to use the
SUMIF in excel for it but infopath is so much nicer looking. Thank you for
any help

You should be able to use the SUM function in InfoPath and then use a filter
on the data within that sum function.

Sum(@Credit[Dropdown = "1"]) as a rough example. This can be done as a
default or as an action to a rule.

Hope this helps

That got me half way there thank you, but everytime i insert new line and hit
the drop down number it sums the entire credit row, is there anyway to make
it so it just sums all the credits in 1 all the credits in 2 and so on or is
this not possible with a repeating table. Thank you

You would just have to play with your filters so that they are only including
data from the specific dropdown value.

Are you using a filter within your sum function right now or just summing all?
